I. General information
Department of Finance is one of five departments in the Faculty of Accounting and Business Management - Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA). A wide range of core finance-related subjects are taught by lecturers in the department, both in Vietnamese and English for undergraduate levels in Accounting, Business Administration, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, and for postgraduate levels in MBA, Master of Agricultural Economics, Doctor of Agricultural Economics, Doctor of Development Economics, Doctor of Business Administration. The subject of Financial Management in Agriculture has been taught by the department since 1961. The lecturers include 02 Ph.D. and 07 masters (03 of whom are pursuing Ph.D. study abroad) who have been well educated by prestigious universities in developed countries like England, Australia, Germany, Belgium, and Japan. Developing and nurturing agility is the key for the success of the department in teaching and researching activities. The department has been in charge of delivering education in two fields of study, including Financial Management and Finance and Banking.

III. Research Activities
The research activities focus on financial fields, including rural and agricultural finance. The main research topics conducted are:
1. Application of financial management models for decision making in enterprises
2. Develop and apply financial management models in Agribusiness
3. Risk management and insurance in agriculture
4. Development and Improvement of financial institutions and financial products
5. Rural financial markets (with strong focus on micro finance and micro insurance)
6. Public services (finance, credit, insurance)
